The Reidsville Parks & Recreation Department is still accepting registration for its youth football and cheerleading programs.

     The age groups for football are Flag (4-6) and Contact (7-9 and 10-12). The age determination date is Sept. 1, meaning whatever age the child is on Sept. 1 is his playing age for the season.

     There will be a 90-pound weight limit for all ball carriers and receivers in the 7-9 group and a 125-pound limit in the 10-12 group.

     The cost to register is $15 for city residents and $30 for non-city residents.

     The cheerleading program is open to all girls ages 7-13. The cost is $10 for city residents and $20 for non-city. A $25 deposit is required for all uniforms.

     Registration will continue for football and cheerleading until Sept. 3.

     To register, come by the Parks & Recreation Department at 200 N. Franklin Street between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
